Authorities are investigating what they described as a "security concern" at the Putnam County Courthouse.
The report came in Sunday afternoon, Nov. 9, around 3:30 p.m., prompting an increased police presence in the area.
“At this time, there is no known danger to the public,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “Out of an abundance of caution, there is an increased police presence in the area.”
Residents are being asked to avoid the courthouse area while law enforcement continues its investigation.
