A drug dealer caught with more than £20,000 of cannabis and thousands of pounds in cash during a police raid on his Edinburgh home has been jailed.

Pa Sinyan, 41, was found to be in possession of the large Class B drug haul after officers forced open the front door of his flat at the Saughton area of Edinburgh in September 2021. During a search of the property the officers discovered a total of 2980 grams of the drug which was valued at £21,285 along with thousands of pounds in cash, bags, scales and mobile phones.

Sinyan initially pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year but later changed his plea to one of not guilty and stood trial on indictment in September. Sinyan was subsequently found guilty of the drug supply offence by a j
