Man arrested following a disturbance at Greenock bus station

A man has been arrested after a 'disturbance' in Greenock on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to an area around Greenock bus station at around 8.15pm, November 8, following reports of the disturbance.

A number of police vehicles and ambulances were spotted in the town centre for around three hours following the incident.

Footage shared on social media revealed a sea of blue flashing lights around the bus station and surrounding streets.

A 58-year-old man was arrested on West Stewart Street, which runs adjacent to the bus station, in connection with an assault.

No other details of the disturbance nor any injuries which may have occurred were revealed by police .
