WELD COUNTY, Colo. —
The 72-year-old man Omaha man charged in relation to a 2007 homicide cold case in Colorado went before a judge Friday.
The Weld county district attorney's office said the judge ruled there was probable cause in the case, and bound it over to district court.
Darrell Burklund should go back before a judge in January.
Burkland is a former maintenance worker and was arrested back in March in York, Nebraska. He was wanted in connection to the murder of 25-year-old Jessica Bejarano nearly 18 years after she was killed.
Bejarano's body was discovered by Frederick police in Colorado on April 6 2007 at 7900 block of Larkspur Circle with a single stab wound to her chest. Her 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son were said to have been present in the home when officers arri
