DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —
An Omaha man will go to trial after being accused of assaulting a woman he met on a dating website.
Tonio Clark is charged with first-degree sexual assault, assault by strangulation or suffocation and first-degree false imprisonment. An arrest affidavit alleges the victim met Clark in-person for the first time on November 8, 2024.
The affidavit states that, while in a vehicle, Clark took the victim's cell phone and physically assaulted her. It alleges that once back at Clark's home, he refused to let the victim leave and sexually assaulted her. The victim went to the hospital the next morning to report the alleged crime.
