KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — With just days left before the Nov. 14 deadline, tnAchieves is still looking for 600 volunteer mentors for Tennessee Promise students.

The nonprofit, which manages the mentoring component of the Tennessee Promise scholarship, connects more than 60,000 high school seniors with volunteers who offer personal support and help guide them toward college and career opportunities.

“Mentors play an important part in ensuring students have the support necessary to take their next steps from high school to college or college to career,” tnAchieves Director of Mentors Baylor Atkins said. “Mentors help Build Tennessee’s Future Workforce by breaking down barriers for students and helping students to achieve their goals while also ensuring that the workforce of tomorrow thrives.”
