LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - Authorities on Thursday identified the two people killed in a crash on Highway 77 south of Lincoln.
On Wednesday, Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies, the Nebraska State Patrol and emergency personnel were called to a two-vehicle crash near Highway 77 and Firth Road at 4:07 p.m.
A preliminary investigation from the sheriff’s office indicates a northbound Ford F-250 crashed into a westbound Buick Lucerne that had entered the intersection. LSO said the collision pushed the Buick into the northwest ditch as the Ford pickup came to rest in the median north of the intersection.
LSO said the driver of the Buick, 63-year-old Patrick Holley, died at the scene. His passenger and wife, 63-year-old Penny Holley, was taken to the hospital where she later died. The co
