A crazed fan rushed toward Ariana Grande and grabbed her on the yellow carpet at the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore, startling the singer, according to multiple videos posted online.

The jarring incident happened Thursday, Nov. 13, as Grande posed for photos alongside “Wicked” castmates Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Erivo.

Video circulating on social media shows a man later identified as Johnson Wen rushing toward Grande and wrapping his arm around her. Co-star Cynthia Erivo and security are seen stepping in within seconds as they pull the man away from Grande.

The actress and singer, 32, appeared frightened and unaware of what was happening until Erivo stepped between them. Yeoh also appeared to place her arms around Grande to shield her from the man.

Wen posted his own footage on Instagram, thanking Grande “for letting me jump on the yellow carpet” with her. His account, under the name “Pyjama Man man,” features videos of him crashing concert stages and sporting events.

“Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You,” he captioned his video.

Fans, however, reacted strongly, with many describing the interaction as an assault and urging others to report Wen’s account. “You literally assaulted her. This isn’t a flex, it’s a crime,” one commenter wrote on his post.

Grande’s supporters also pointed to her history of trauma at public events. Twenty-two people were killed in the 2017 bombing at her Manchester concert, and the singer has spoken publicly about her struggles with anxiety and post-traumatic stress since then.

In a statement to NBC News, Wen described himself as a “mega fan” of Grande and said he was “happy” to meet her, adding, “I dreamed about meeting her and now my dreams became true.”
