GRAVETTE -- Supports of the Gravette Fire Department are conducting a fundraising drive to raise money to buy a new heart monitoring system.
The system currently in use by the department is outdated and old, and first responders describe it as a critical piece of life-saving equipment that is used on almost every call to which the department responds. The department is attempted attempting to upgrade its equipment to provide better, more accurate emergency care for those in need.
The Gravette Fire Auxiliary is planning a "Santa and Sirens Rig Round-Up Fundraiser" for Dec. 6 in the Gravette Middle School cafeteria, beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast. Other activities planned for the event include a touch-a-truck display, free photos with Santa, a silent auction and a dessert
