INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A carjacking and subsequent police chase led to the arrest of three young men in Independence earlier this week.

According to court documents , the Independence Police Department arrested 18-year-old Daniel Fry and 18-year-old Terrance Fry, as well as Christopher Rodriguez.

The arrests came Tuesday night after a carjacking that occurred just before 7 p.m. at McCoy Park. There, a victim told police he had been robbed at gunpoint and carjacked by three suspects, one who the victim claimed was armed with a handgun.

Shortly after the call to police, IPD was alerted by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department that the stolen car, a 2018 Nissan Altima, was found crashed into a wooded area near 3600 Sunset Drive, just off Ward Parkway near the Country Club Plaza.
