Vanderbilt University is set to begin construction in December on a residential building to be located in The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons on the Peabody campus.

According to a Vanderbilt news release, the future building is slated to be operational for the start of the 2027-28 academic year and will house approximately 150 first-year students.

Like the existing Commons residential buildings, the future structure will feature a faculty apartment for the head of house and collaboration spaces on each floor to support academic and social engagement.

The residential hall will be located on the existing Parking Lot 90 (see here ) — sandwiched by the Wyatt Center (the southern anchor of the Peabody Esplanade) to the west, East Hall to the north and Crawford House to the east.
