LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A 250-mile veteran-led walk passed through Lansing on Friday, honoring America’s Constitution.
The cross-state Constitutional Walk is not partisan, and invites everyone to celebrate America’s constitution.
The man leading the walk was a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Veteran. He was hurt on the journey and now follows along in a truck while others continue the trek.
The message: carrying the constitution is a group effort.
“It’s not about a single person, it’s not about a single accomplishment but a collective journey and collective effort,” said Marius the Mule, a veteran and event leader. “I’m so blessed people have been willing to pick up the torch, the constitution and the flag.”
The 250-mile walk represents America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
