One chippy not too far from Glasgow has once again gained national recognition for its incredible fish and chips.

Located just 45 minutes from the city in Largs, The Fish Works , one of Scotland's most popular chippies, has just been nominated for 'Takeaway of the Year' with the National Fish and Chip Awards 2026.

It's the fourth year running for them being named in the top 10 of the UK-wide competition which it has previously won, and could be set to win again.

The team at the seaside chippy were delighted by the news and have revealed that they are aiming to take this year's crown.
