DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Volunteers from Continental Ski and Bike delivered 300 pounds of food donations to Chum on bicycles.

The store’s owners collected donations from their customers, and a dozen members of their ambassador program biked nine minutes to drop off donations.

“We felt that it would be a really good opportunity to use what we have, which is these ambassadors that put together a ride that is really kind of geared towards bringing the community together,” said Continental Ski and Bike ambassador Tom Miller.

The group said they did this to not only help community members amid SNAP cuts, but also to partner with Vibrant Streets Duluth , an organization that advocates for transportation equity and bike infrastructure.
