DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Crowds gathered at the intersection of Mesaba Ave. and Central entrance to protest the controversial proposed data center.

This has been one of many forms of community protest against the data center in recent months.

The group, “Stop the Hermantown Data Center”, has previously rallied at city council meetings and has recently filed a lawsuit against the City of Hermantown with the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy.

The protesters said their biggest concerns are the lack of transparency from city officials on the project and the environmental damage the data center would cause in the region.
