The National Investigation Agency has arrested a Kashmiri resident linked to the November 10 Red Fort area car blast, marking a major advance in the probe
The agency said Amir Rashid Ali, a resident of Samboora in Pampore, conspired with alleged suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi and travelled to Delhi to help purchase the car later used as a vehicle-borne IED.
Ten people were killed and 32 were injured in the explosion.
Ali was held in Delhi after the NIA took over the case from the city police and began a wide search operation. The car involved in the blast had been registered in his name. Investigators have also seized another vehicle owned by Nabi, an assistant professor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad.
