TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Newly-released video shows the moment a car smashed into a Toledo diner just feet away from staff and guests.
A customer hit the Summit Diner building while trying to park, according to staff. No one was seriously hurt, but the manager 13 Action News spoke with said it will take some time to make repairs and get back to operating at full capacity.
“It’s definitely gonna give us a little setback but we’re gonna recover,” said Art Padilla, the night manager at Summit Diner. “Grateful no one got hurt, because we have a lot of people that sit in these booths, and it’s very, very fortunate nobody got hurt and that’s very important.”
Padilla says the owner is in the process of filing an insurance claim and they’ve made minor repairs until a full repair can be done.
