JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - A 45-year-old man is facing charges after a stabbing in Jackson over the weekend that sent a person to the hospital.

The Jackson Police Department says officers were called to a home on Sixth Street on Saturday, Nov. 15 and found a 35-year-old person who had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to the hospital and released.

Authorities say the suspect, whose name and hometown have not been released, has been charged with assault causing great bodily harm, domestic assault and resisting and obstructing.

Officials have not released any further details about the case, including what led to the alleged stabbing or how the suspect and victim knew each other.
