CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Officials said Border Patrol agents were expected to move toward another major city in North Carolina this week, days after they launched their operation in Charlotte.
Gov. Josh Stein -- a Democrat -- was one of the officials who said the federal agency was reportedly moving into the Raleigh area. Stein addressed the situation on social media, but did not say exactly when the agents were expected in North Carolina’s capital city.
“Once again, I call on federal agents to target violent criminals, not neighbors walking down the street, going to church, or putting up Christmas decorations,” the governor . “Stop targeting people simply going about their lives because of the color of their skin, as you are doing in Charlotte.”
