According to sources, the group, which calls itself the Socialist Republican Front, has upped its activity in recent weeks, leaving viable devices close to the homes of people they claim are connected to far-right organisations.

They claim that those targeted are attending protests organised by loyalists in NI, as well as travelling across the border to meetings organised by extremist groups in the Republic.

Earlier this month, the group issued warnings and said it was “gathering intelligence” on members of the far-right group Clann Eireann living in north and west Belfast.

Clann Eireann members have been accused of vandalising republican graves in Milltown Cemetery and attacking murals welcoming migrants.
