An ambulance was towed away with front-end damage after it was involved in a crash in Fayette County Tuesday night.

Fayette County dispatchers confirmed to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that an ambulance was involved in a crash along East Penn Street in Uniontown just after 6 p.m.

We're told five people were taken to the hospital from the scene, mostly as a precaution, according to dispatchers. No serious injuries were reported.

It appeared that a Ford Bronco and an ambulance were involved in the crash.

It is unclear if anyone was being transported to the hospital in the ambulance prior to the crash.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 reached out to Fayette County EMS for more information and has yet to hear back.
