Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by truck

MORRISTOWN, Vt. (WCAX) - One person was left seriously injured tonight after they were struck by a vehicle in Morristown.

Morristown police say it happened just before 5:30 this evening on Vermont Route 15 near Gondola’s Snack Bar.

Officers say 42-year-old Justin Earlandt was driving his truck going west when he hit a person who was in the road.

The pedestrian hit has not been identified, and we don’t know the full extent of their injuries. Earlandt was not hurt.

Morristown police are now investigating the incident and are asking anyone who saw the crash or saw the person walking in the roadway to give them a call.
