WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) - A vehicle with a misused plate led to a drug bust, according to police in Waterbury.
Police said 32-year-old Demetrious Hunter of Waterbury was apprehended, but not before he struck a couple of their cruisers.
The incident happened on Nov. 18 around 11:30 a.m.
Officers said they were patrolling an area of Whitewood Road when they noticed a gold Honda with a plate that did not match its registration.
They initiated a traffic stop.
However, they said Hunter tried to evade them and hit their cruisers. He then tried to flee on foot.
Police said they seized drug paraphernalia, 11.3 grams of crack cocaine, and 103 bags of heroin/fentanyl.
