TOLLAND, Conn. (WFSB) - A state police K9 located a missing child on Tuesday.
Connecticut State Police Troop C say the child, who lives with a mental disability, had walked away from home on Tuesday at around 8:06 p.m.
Troopers responded immediately, including K9 Zeke and his handler.
State police say Zeke and his handler quickly established a track and successfully located the child asleep in a sand pit within a construction yard.
The child was given medical care and reunited with their parents.
State police praised K9 Zeke for his work.
“Excellent work by all involved, and great job K9 Zeke!” they said.
