HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Gov. Ned Lamont is recommending a personnel change in his administration as the state’s budget chief prepares to leave for a judicial nomination.

Jeff Beckham, secretary for the Office of Policy and Management, is leaving the position. OPM advises the governor and manages the state’s budget.

Lamont is recommending Jeff Wojcik, who currently serves as the director of health policy in the comptroller’s office, to replace Beckham.

“I step into this role with the chance to build on a really strong financial foundation. One created by the prudent fiscal choices of the governor, and secretary Beckham,” Wojcik said. “Yet we still face uncertain times. Federal cuts have affected many of our residents.”
