On Thursday at 7:47 p.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Jefferson and Indiana counties.
The weather service adds to expect, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog."
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," explains the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
