SEATTLE — Seattle Parks and Recreation wrapped up a series of community meetings this week to help determine how, and when, three shuttered parks will reopen.
Seven Hills Park in Capitol Hill, Lake City Mini Park and the pavilion at Blanche Lavizzo Park in the Central District were temporarily closed in September due to what the city called "negative activity."
People who live near Seven Hills Park told KING 5 they witnessed drug use, sex crimes, and property crimes in the area. The city installed fencing around the perimeter of the facilities.
On Thursday, parks and recreation staff led a group discussion at Garfield Community Center.
