PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A top leader in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office is now out of a job, accused of selling a diamond bracelet that was mistakenly sent to her home.
According to a spokesman for state Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office, Vanessa Hickman, 49, was placed on administrative leave on Nov. 13 after the U.S. Postal Inspection Service contacted the attorney general’s office about its probe.
According to court documents, on May 31, the United States Postal Service delivered a package to Hickman’s condo, but it was supposed to go to a different unit in the complex. The victim said inside the box was $40,000 worth of jewelry sent by her friend in Florida, according to investigators.
