ONAWA, Iowa (KTIV) - West Monona Community School District says there will be no school on Friday, Nov. 21, and according to the school’s Facebook page , it is because of a water main break.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, West Monona announced the entire district was dismissed at 12:30 p.m. due to the break. The following day, the district announced that the water main had broken somewhere underneath the 6-12 building, resulting in water coming through the floor.
A district announcement on Facebook states the water was coming from where the floor meets the wall and happened in several spots, including the mechanical room, kitchen, industrial arts room, and the hallway leading to the art room.
