SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Louisiana Judicial Commission is recommending that a Shreveport city court judge be suspended for ethics violations.
Judge Sheva Sims has been at the center of a commission investigation for more than a year. The commission says this case came from numerous complaints against Sims.

Some complainants alleged Sims used a court-owned car for her personal commute in 2023 while her personal car was being repaired. The commissions says she also had the Shreveport city marshal’s office fill it with gas. In a hearing, Judge Sims told officials she didn’t use the court car for personal business and she only started using it after she walked to court “the entire month of December” when her personal car first went in for repairs.
