LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville City FC midfielder has been voted the 2025 USL Championship Player of the Year, the USL Championship announced Nov. 21.
The award was given to Taylor Davila, who recorded four goals and nine assists this season. LouCity says Davila signed with the team prior to the 2024 season and has since been a central figure in the club’s success.
Davila won 46% of the player of the year ballot, with 11 players total receiving votes. Club management and a league-wide media panel voted for the player of the year, according to a press release.
Davila is the second LouCity player to receive the award. Matt Fondy previously earned the award in 2015.
