LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Reports say thousands of children are waiting for families in Indiana’s foster care system. November is National Adoption Month, and Saturday is known as National Adoption Day.

“I’ve wanted nothing but to be a mom, and I can finally do that,” Haley Greeson said.

Greeson’s dream came true when Emmelyn was born on Dec. 30.

“She’s never met a stranger,” Greeson explained. “She loves any and everyone. She loves dogs. Loves being outside. If she is having a rough morning, we just go outside. It changes her mood completely.”
