LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Apex Entertainment, the owner of Baxter Avenue Theaters provided a cryptic response to a WAVE inquiry after rumors that the future of the movie theater is uncertain.

Local social media posts have fueled speculation that the longtime Louisville staple is closing its doors.

Initial questions were met with the following, “As we look ahead, we are also evaluating the future of Baxter Avenue Theatres within the evolving local real estate landscape.”

As of now, there are still showings scheduled and Apex tells WAVE that the theatre’s liquor license is active:
