A 63-year-old York man was charged after using a kitchen knife to threaten bus passengers last month, police said in court documents.
Angel Velez, of York, was charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, simple assault and one count of disorderly conduct engage in fighting, according to court documents filed by Springettsbury Township police.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Oct. 24 on a Rabbit Transit bus on East Market Street at Northern Way. Police say Velez had a silver kitchen knife and threatened to stab three bus passengers who were having a conversation.
The passengers were talking about jobs and whether certain employers won’t hire people based on their criminal history, police wrote in the affidavit.
