RAVENNA, Ohio — Police in Ravenna say a pedestrian is dead after being struck and killed by a CSX freight train Friday afternoon.

The department says the victim was on the railroad tracks between Chestnut and Diamond Streets when they were hit by the train as it was traveling west around 2:51 p.m. The person's identity has not yet been released.
