GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — The Grimes County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) announced the arrest of one person following a traffic stop in Navasota.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, a GCSO K9 Unit stopped a white sedan on SH 6 near FM 2 for no registration and a missing front license plate. The driver, Daniel Jackson, was found to have active felony warrants from Parker County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault of a family/household member impeding breath/circulation.
During the search, K9 Lola led officers to discover cocaine, meth, ecstasy, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the trunk. Jackson admitted to being on the run since 2022, according to GCSO.
Jackson was reportedly taken into police custody and booked into the Grimes County Jail. He has been charged with the following:
