LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Kentucky Horse Racing & Gaming’s Office of Charitable Gambling has ordered all machines manufactured by LNW Gaming, Inc. and Creative Game Technologies, LLC to be disabled, according to a release.

This order applies to all machines at locations other than a charitable organization’s office, locations where charities are licensed to conduct bingo, and locations where pre-approved charity fundraising events are authorized.

KHRG said their office is aware of multiple instances of illegal “fishing” activities that impact these machines, which has resulted in the theft of tens of thousands of dollars.

Officials said while those engaged in fishing are responsible for the thefts, organizations licensed by KHRG have failed to prevent the criminal activity.
