With the festive season on the horizon many benefit claimants can expect changes to their usual payment dates as Christmas and New Year bank holidays approach.
Although the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has not yet confirmed its official timetable for the holiday period this is the pattern it has typically followed in previous years, according to the Mirror.
Those receiving personal independent payments (PIP), carer's allowance, and several other benefits will still be eligible for the DWP's Christmas bonus. However it's important to note that people on universal credit are not included.
This year Christmas Day falls on a Thursday
