Hyderabad-based pharmacy retail chain MedPlus Health Services remains focused on long-term growth despite near-term pressure on same-store sales growth (SSG).
Gangadi Madhukar Reddy, MD and CEO of MedPlus Health Services expects SSG to improve gradually and reach high single-digit levels by the end of the financial year, though it may fall slightly short of the earlier 9–10% target.
Reddy attributed the currently "muted" SSG performance to the company's "intense focus on private label" products, a strategic push that is impacting short-term sales metrics but is designed for long-term margin improvement.
In July-September quarter (Q2FY26), reported a revenue of ₹1,679 crore, profit of ₹55 crore and margins of 8.9%.
