LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A cool Sunday morning will give way to a great end to the weekend before we track another front next week.

We’ll wake up Sunday morning to temperatures in the low-to-mid 50’s for areas away from the coast! Then we’ll warm into the mid/upper 70’s for the afternoon with only some high, thin clouds around. Enjoy the great Sunday because changes are not far away.

Humidity returns quickly after that as the next front approaches early in the week. Ahead of it will come another shot for some showers or storms. There should be some spotty showers around at times on Monday with plenty of breaks in between any rain. Then we may have a better chance of scattered showers or storms Monday night into Tuesday morning.
