NEW ROADS, La. (WVUE) - Louisiana State Police issued an AMBER Alert for a 3-month-old girl believed to have been abducted from a home in New Roads.

A’laya Jackson was last seen on Bayou Run Drive at approximately 3:18 p.m., according to the alert issued on behalf of the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office. State police received the request to issue the AMBER Alert at 10:25 p.m.

Carnasia Mims reportedly entered a home on Bayou Run Drive and took Jackson. Mims is believed to be traveling in a 2012 blue Toyota Yaris bearing Louisiana license plate 533HZE.

Jackson is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. Her height and weight are unknown.

Mims is approximately 5′4″ and weighs approximately 137 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
