A North Tyneside school has been closed due to a "potential critical threat". Kings Priory School in Tynemouth notified parents of the closure through the school's ParentMail channel, and that it is a precautionary measure.
The school advised parents to await further updates, and said details would be shared when appropriate.
An email sent to parents from Principal Philip Sanderson on Sunday evening read: "It is with deep regret, I write to you now to say that due to a potential critical threat, Kings Priory School will need to be closed on Monday, November 24 2025. Of course, I will share when appropriate the details of the situation.
