Rivalry linked to extreme violence: A long-running 'postcode rivalry' between two groups in Bristol, known as the 2-4s (St Pauls/St Jude’s) and the 1-6s (Fishponds/East Bristol), has been connected to a staggering number of serious crimes. Police evidence presented in a recent trial revealed at least 50 violent incidents since late 2018. This includes four murders, two attempted murders, and approximately 30 incidents involving people being wounded, assaulted, or threatened with knives and machetes.
