Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a pensioner was pushed off a kerb on a busy high street.

The victim, who is in his 70s, was assaulted in Smethwick on Friday, November 7.

The incident happened at around 10.30am, West Midlands Police said.

CCTV images have now been released by the force as they asked for the public's help.

The accompanying appeal read: "Can you tell us who this is?

"We'd like to speak to him after a man in his 70s was assaulted in Smethwick.

"The man was pushed off a kerb on the High Street at around 10.30am on Friday 7 November.

"We're investigating and reviewing CCTV, and now we're asking for your help.
