Syracuse, N.Y. - New details have emerged in court papers about the recent shooting of an off-duty Onondaga Community College police officer outside of a Syracuse bar.
The court papers obtained by Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard reveal that officer, Shane Prue, was shot once in the upper right leg/buttocks area. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 outside McAvan’s Pub at 1217 W. Fayette St.
For now, doctors decided not to remove the bullet that is lodged in his hip because it would be too dangerous to do so, police said in the court papers.
The court papers also said the woman accused of shooting him forcibly took his gun and shot him.
Police said surveillance video showed a dispute in the pub’s parking lot. Police described the altercation as both verbal and physica
