I'm a Celeb star Alex Scott has been praised for sneaking in banned contraband…by last year’s chief smuggler Dean McCullough . The Radio 1 DJ - who was caught with teabags - praised the former Lioness saying she had done well to evade the SAS-style searches carried out by ITV security.

He said of Alex: “Good for her…it’s so difficult to actually get stuff in there that I think she deserves a reward for her efforts.” Speaking to the Mirror , Dean told how bosses went to extraordinary lengths to clamp down on illicit items. And he revealed how the celebs past and present all exchanged secret tips to try and beat the system.
