More information is expected Tuesday regarding potential job cuts for the city of New Orleans.

Mayor-elect Helena Moreno and her administration are expected to unveil parts of their plan to "right-size" city government due to a more than $200 million budget shortfall.

Moreno said last week that this may involve cutting jobs and reducing the size of government.

Moreno is expected to meet with the council at 9 a.m. and then have a question-and-answer session with the media afterward.

She is targeting mayoral hires over the last few years, which have increased since Mayor LaToya Cantrell took office in 2018.
