UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - An investigation is underway after a homicide took place in University City on Monday.

Police say the homicide happened around 3:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Delcrest Court. Officers say there was a neighborhood disturbance that escalated into violence.

The victim was taken to a hospital but later died. A suspect was taken into custody.
