RWJBarnabas Health is launching a statewide push to help families struggling with food insecurity this holiday season, distributing more than 37 tons of fresh produce and over 4,000 turkeys as part of its annual giving campaign.
According to a statement released by RWJBarnabas officials, the effort comes at a time when many New Jersey households continue to feel the impact of recent disruptions to federal SNAP benefits.
Mark E. Manigan, President and CEO of RWJBarnabas Health, said the system remains committed to serving communities where the need is greatest.
He emphasized that access to nutritious food is directly tied to overall health, and supporting families through the holiday season reflects the organization’s mission.
