A woman and children were attacked by two people who broke into their vehicle at the Square One Mall in Saugus, Massachusetts, on Monday night, according to local police.

The victim told police that she was leaving the mall with her three children around 8:30 p.m. after a shopping trip when they were confronted by two men who had broken into their car.

One of the men showed a knife and the other, according to police, punched an 11-year-old in the stomach before running off.

The victim said she got into the car and drove to somewhere she felt safe before calling 911.

The suspects are described as men between 18 and 20 years old, wearing all black, including beanie-style hats and masks.
